LOCAL KNOWLEDGE WANTED! - seagrass webinar

The Fishers Island Seagrass Management (FISM) Coalition is beginning a planning stage to identify locations around the island that would be best suited for Seagrass Management Areas. We are seeking input on the siting of these areas from everyone in the island community and other interested stakeholders. We will be holding 3 webinars to tell you more about the FISM Coalition’s goals and the importance of preserving the island’s eelgrass meadows. We would also like to learn about your use of the island’s nearshore waters and your seagrass conservation ideas and preferences.

Register for this webinar (July 20th, 11am-12pm) here: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_MkuY1vd6T9SZgktn7ASIBg

Email (fishersislandseagrass@gmail.com) or call (585-746-1522) Connor Jones, the FISM Coordinator, to register to attend a webinar, or to request a presentation at your community meeting. We look forward to seeing you soon!
